The Birt Wheelchair Carrier is a lightweight, removable wheelchair carrier that is mounted to the tow ball of a car. It is designed to minimise the manual handling risk of loading a manual wheelchair into a car and can be tilted sideways to allow the wheelchair to be loaded using leverage. The carrier can be removed and folded up when not in use and towing is not impeded once the detachable section has been removed.  It is available for self propelled wheelchairs (pictured) or transit wheelchairs.
