New Product News
Quickie SALSA is HERE
Sunrise have released a new rear wheel drive power chair called the “SALSA”. The Salsa is quite compact making it perform better indoors and yet still is a rear wheel drive offering the great performance outdoors. You can get powered tilt, recline and elevating articulating leg rests as options. It can have a low seat height, down to 38cm (15”) and total chair width from 61cm (24”). It still gives a 8cm (3”) ground clearance for thresholds, ramps and kerbs. It has a weight capacity of 140kgs. It comes with P+G VR2 controller or you can even upgrade to the new R-Net controllers and have Bluetooth and InfraRed functions. We have a demo here NOW and another is on order. J3 CUSHIONS are on order! We (and some of the lucky attendees at our pressure mapping seminar) have had a look at the new J3 range and we are excited! Our demo’s are on order and we hope to have them available by the end of this month. In the meantime, you can CLICK HERE for a brochure. Price will be only marginally more than the current J2 cushions, which will continue to be available and supported for the foreseeable future. There are lots of features to tell you about but here are a few of the highlights:
· Standard and deep models, similar to the current J2 and J2 Deep Contour
· Sizes 12-24", load capacity 150kg (up to 22"W) or 226kg (22" wide and greater Customised “well” sizes (now known as “pelvic loading area” or PLA), with various “well reducers” available
· No more fluid migration as there are segmented fluid pads
· Customisable fluid volumes, with a field-variable fluid pad available
· Positioning components can now be permanently attached at factory, with covers cut to suit

Product Updates
PRICE DROP FOR LAST WEEK OF OCTOBER Pride Mobility have announced a 10% price reduction on any of their products ordered by the end of October and we want to pass this on to you! If you have a client wanting to purchase a Pride or Quantum Product (e.g. Q6000, Q600, Synergy cushions, Celebrity Scooter, etc), we need to receive the order the end of the month for the 10% price reduction. If you require us to revise a quote for this, please let us know ASAP. This is only valid for orders received before the end of October!!
Channel Forearm Pads (CFP) - Just a snippet for those who use otto bock channel forearm pads (CFP), the Elevating Swivel Units (ESU) which are used to attach these are some of the Otto Bock hardware that has been updated in recent times. The newer ESU hardware is able to be used on either the right or left side and the CFP simply bolts straight onto the ESU. To offset the CFP, use the Offset Plate, but we find these are rarely required. If you JUST want to offset a CFP, use the Offset Plate only, but beware some drilling may be required if the holes on your armrest strut don’t line up with the holes on the Offset Plate. ESU’s raise the armrest about 3cm, and allow the forearm to be positioned at 0, 12.5 or 25 degrees, with free or continuous rotation functions. They attach to most round and profiled armrest hardware – please check the diameter of the tube to identify the correct ESU (20mm for Starts).
The ROHO Merlin Proximity Sensor has been discontinued. The product will still be supported however will no longer be able to be purchased.
