(TAS) APT Free Seminar - Seating, Mobility and More: Looking at Maximising Independence

Seating and Mobility have many challenges from providing stability and function, to the individual’s access to control the chair and control their environment. This course is designed to provide an overview of seating and positioning with a focus on stability with function and how to balance both.
Level: Beginner to Intermediate
The course will go over different access methods to electronics for control of a power wheelchair and other environmental needs such as Infrared and Bluetooth options the individual has available in the Q-Logic electronics. There will be a hands-on component to this course to provide the participant with the ability to try the technology that is being discussed.

Jay has over 20 years of clinical experience with a heavy focus in seating and positioning. He graduated from Quinnipiac University in 1995 with a B.S. in occupational therapy. Jay has also earned his ATP and SMS certifications from RESNA
