FHG Delivers Custom Furniture for St Andrew Byron Bay Lodge

FHG has successfully delivered a tailored furniture solution for St Andrews Byron Lodge in Byron Bay, transforming key resident spaces with a design inspired by the region’s relaxed coastal lifestyle.

The project included resident bedrooms, lounge and dining areas, memory support spaces, and café environments, with a focus on enhancing comfort, functionality, and visual appeal throughout the facility.

Working closely with stakeholders, FHG developed a furniture scheme that reflects the unique character of Byron Bay while meeting the practical requirements of an aged care setting. Drawing inspiration from the local environment, the selected furniture incorporates natural timber tones, layered textures, and subtle coastal motifs to create warm, welcoming spaces that feel like home.

A collaborative design process ensured residents, staff, and stakeholders were involved throughout the project. Through design workshops, on-site consultations, and furniture trials, the team carefully refined selections to achieve the right balance of comfort, durability, and style.

As an Australian manufacturer, FHG was also able to deliver customised solutions tailored to resident needs, including a modified wing chair with enhanced neck and head support, as well as bespoke furniture pieces designed specifically for operational requirements within the facility.

The result is a collection of thoughtfully designed spaces that support resident wellbeing, encourage social connection, and reflect the lifestyle and character of the Byron Bay community.
