This session will cover the main considerations when scripting either manual or power wheelchairs. We will cover the differences between active manual wheelchairs, folding, rigid, sport and bariatric. We will look at the different power bases: front-wheel drive, mid-wheel drive and rear drive; and talk about the characteristics of each power base model, which plays a deciding role in final prescription. We will also discuss speciality controls.
